Productions KC is your professional source of DJ, MC and Sound Operators for your special day. We know that this day is all about you and we understand how much effort bride and grooms go to make sure everyone who attends their wedding has a night to remember. We are often humbled to be apart of such special events. There is a mood to every room and we are here to set that mood right. We believe in the idea of “filling your space” or “knowing your room” a practice developed by some of the best sound engineers in the world. A small room of 50 people requires a different type of approach as a banquet hall of 300+ and we are always working to make sure that the sound, the mood, the moment is just right.
Owner and Lead DJ James Thomas has been a DJ for close to 20 years. Having been in the Kansas City event business for 10 years now James has been in just about every wedding and event venue in Kansas City. “Each event is different. This is why we take the time to meet and coordinate ahead of time.” James is a professional audio engineer and has spent many years of his business and personal life, installing, servicing and troubleshooting audio and video systems alike. You don’t just get a DJ with James, you get a technology specialist who is prepared to respond when anything can happen. Every DJ that works with Productions KC will go through a training program with James as a way to progress their skill sets and abilities.
Productions KC can provide Wedding DJ and Ceremony support at remote locations or at many of the fine venues that Kansas City has to offer. We are the preferred DJ company for The Beck Event Space in Harrisonville, MO which gives us access to the in-house sound system and control of lighting, newly upgraded at the end of 2018. New in 2019 we have made another partnership with Bliss Bridal Plaza in Greenwood, MO with exclusive access to the new in-house sound system that was just recently installed. Access to in-house sound systems means a greater chance of success with any event. This allows our DJs to focus more on the event, rather than the equipment.
